Introduction
Inauguration and a brief history of the church
The church was inaugurated in 2001 G.C by a few devoted followers of the Orthodox Tewahedo Faith. The church started its service by gathering fellow members once a week, on Sundays, without a priest, and the service involved sermons and prayers led by a few church brothers. After a while, the church started to invite priests from Toronto Saint Mary Orthodox Tewahedo Church, monthly or on holidays, for services, mainly baptism and liturgical prayers. In 2005, a new priest came, which helped the church to expand its services, including baptism, liturgical prayers, and sermons. Currently, the church has seven priests and more than ten deacons serving regularly, and its members are increasing, thereby extending its services.

And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high

3. Educate and empower youth through after-school programs and motivational tutoring, and ground them in academic and athletic excellence.
4. Engage & Enrich Community by extending social services, celebrating Ethiopian culture, promoting fellowship, and opening the church doors in love to all who seek truth.
5. Steward God’s Gifts by responsibly caring for our church facility, mobilizing our members, and ensuring transparent governance and administration.

The church services
our church is thriving to spiritually nurture fellow members by gathering them to help them cope up in this challenging world of ours, and also providing counselling services to help members develop spiritual personality and lead a healthy and happy life.
Our Church is giving many of its services in its maximum capacity than ever before. The services include the holy mass on many of the feast days, everyday morning prayers (prayer of the Covenant) and exorcism services, a whole set of chanting prayers starting from the night before the liturgical prayer, and extended availability of confession sessions, and seasonal evening prayers. In addition, the church performs the sacraments of Christian baptism and marriage and other related services. There is an after-school program for children and young adults every Friday, mainly focusing on teachings of the doctrine/sacraments of Orthodox Tewahedo Church and practical Christianity to shape the generation. The church also organizes and provides regular weekly tutorial/motivational sessions to the youths to strengthen their academic progress. On top of these, our church promotes Ethiopian culture to the western world by participating in the Kitchener Multicultural Food Festival.
Organizational Structure

The God of heaven will give us success. We his servants will start rebuilding, but as for you, you have no share in Jerusalem or any claim or historic right to it
Nehemiah 2:20
Our church calls upon its fellow members to actively engage its services and opens its doors with so much love to anyone who seeks the truth.
“… come and see.”
